Asian Family Conference 2026 in Singapore
17 & 18 NOVEMBER 2026

The Ministry of Social and Family Development of Singapore (MSF) and Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS) warmly invite proposals for the 5th Asian Family Conference (AFC), which will be held in Singapore on 17 and 18 November.

AFC 2026 serves as a regional platform and provides an excellent opportunity for policymakers, practitioners and academics to come together to dialogue and exchange knowledge on strengthening Asian families.

The Conference theme is “Empowering Families, Thriving Children”. Based on the theme, the conference will:

  1. Examine the impact of digital media on children, including both opportunities and challenges, to provide strategic insights and inform national and regional approaches for digital safety and child’s well-being;

  1. Understand how parenting behaviours influence family functioning and children well-being;

  1. Gain insights into family-centric approaches to social issues, which positively impact parenthood, family functioning, youth offenders and child outcomes; and

  1. Highlight evidence-based programmes and practices that have been shown to effectively improve family and child outcomes.

You and your colleagues are cordially invited to participate in the AFC 2026 Call for Abstracts to contribute to the development of family-centred research, to build our collective knowledge on strengthening and supporting Asian families.
